When Dr van Ginkel came to Miami in 1988, he started his family practice with Dr. Raben who was in a small office on Ponce de Leon near the University of Miami. When Dr. Rabin opened her beautiful office in the 7000 building in 1991 with Dr. Feldman, he joined her from the outset.

Over the next few years Dr van Ginkel became interested in the disease and science of Addiction and was appointed Medical Director of the nationally recognized Addiction Medicine Program South at South Miami Hospital. After 18 successful years, he has decided to return to private practice.

So here he is; back with Dr Raben

Dr van Ginkel will continue to treat patients with chemical dependency. His services will include inpatient as well as outpatient detoxification from alcohol, painkillers, tranquilizers and other substances. Monitoring services are available. For those who need help managing their chronic pain, along with expert evaluation and treatment, he offers state of the art medication regimens. He uses the newest modalities, including Soboxone and Prometa.

He is currently certified in Family Medicine and will be able to practice a truly holistic form of medicine, especially in the multispecialty setting of Dr. Raben's office.
